Melissa Boggs is a coach, consultant, speaker, writer, and the founder of Hummingbird Agility.
Oh hey.... that's me!
With a passion for agile culture and leadership, I partner with individuals, teams, and organizations to invite innovation, agility, and FUN into the enterprise. I have experience with executive teams, software teams, marketing, and educators. Using facilitation techniques, lessons from improv, and deep listening to "lower the water line" of the culture iceberg, I seek to help my clients and friends uncover new paths, strengths, and the power of their team.
I enthusiastically believe in the strength and uniqueness of our community, and that we are better equipped to Transform the World of Work when we come together to share and encourage one another. I have been actively involved in the agile/Scrum community since 2010, as a participant and a contributor. Most recently, I was a presenter at the Global Scrum Gathering San Diego, Mile High Agile, and various user groups in North America.
If you are interested in various letter combinations, I am a Certified Enterprise Coach (CEC), Certified Agile Leader 1 (CAL1), Certified LeSS Practitioner (CLP), Project Management Professional (PMP), and I hold an MBA in IT Management from Western Governors University. While each of these represent a significant milestone along my journey, none of them signify an end to learning or are a substitute for experience and knowledge. From each of these milestones, my most important takeaways were the relationships I was fortunate to forge in their pursuit, and the motivation to continue learning what I can in service to others.
My family and I recently relocated to Denver after 15+ years in South Texas. My husband Wendell, our two children Avery and JP, and I are thoroughly enjoying the outdoor life, vibrant arts culture, and scenery of Colorado. Avery is an aspiring actor, and JP loves baseball- so we stay pretty busy as a family. We leverage Scrum principles and practices in our home to keep us aligned and achieving our goals as a family.
