DUC DOBA, Software engineer

Doba is a software engineer at LINE corp since May 2015. He was a mobile & web software engineer at Rakuten - Japan's leading internet company - for 5 years. He has 8 years of extensive experience in both client-side and server-side technologies. Since joining Rakuten, he has worked on many backend services and has been the lead engineer in charge of core mobile apps. He started working with Scrum during a 3-month training project in San Francisco and is now a Certified Scrum Master, contributing to Scrum adoption at Rakuten.  He was the 9th president of Vietnamese Youth and Student Association in Japan and contributed to many charitable and cultural activities of Vietnamese people in Japan. He holds many awards and a patent in information technology. In 2014, he was the Google Award winner in the Code For Resilience Hackathon in Japan and his solution 'Anytime!' - A cooperative communication platform - was elected as one of 10 finalists in the global contest.

Doba has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Vietnam National University of Hanoi - University of Engineering and Technology.
