Biography

My name is Erika Frey-Hasegawa. I am agile, dynamic, flexible, results-driven, customer-focused with over a decade of experience managing big Sales & Marketing campaigns with Key Account responsibilities.

I earned an MBA from Suffolk University in Boston, MA with a focus on International Business and Marketing. My undergraduate degree is in Music Business/ Management from Berklee College of Music also in Boston. Also, I earned a Certificate in Management at Harvard University, where I focused on strategic case study analysis, including hot topics, such as Internet Marketing and Information Systems Management.

My passion is education and communication. Due to my father's work as a diplomat for the United Nations Development Programme, I grew up on several continents. My family lived in such faraway places as Nepal, Indonesia and Western Samoa. Eventually, we returned from our adventures to settle in Europe for a decade.

I am an alumna of the International School of Geneva in Switzerland, where the International Baccalaaureate was born.  I speak English, French and German and Swiss-German fluently.

My first love was music. I was on the fast track in my career during the dot-com boom. Working what I thought was my dream job in NYC, I never imagined a different career. When the bubble burst, I realized that my dream job of my 20's was not the final destination..

Fortunately, I successfully made a career transition to the world of agility and technology. Some answers, lots of new ideas and possible solutions presented themselves in a Harvard Summer School course "E-Commerce Strategy." I was hooked.. and am still loving learning about new technology everyday.

After 18 years in the States, I took a six month sabatical back "home" in Switzerland. Two and a half years later, I am still here. Finding the Swiss ICT group has been an eye-opener. I feel lucky to have earned my stripes in my adopted hometown of Boston aka Silicon Valley of the East. Today, I am based in the Zurich area, working on exciting soft and hardware projects in Switzerland.
