Marcy Stroup is a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) working in the library software industry since 2014. In addition to evangelizing Scrum, she specializes in providing opportunities for professional development for different roles in the Engineering department.
She earned her bachelor's degree in Geography from Brigham Young University, where she learned the importance of culture and spatial relationships. This foundation gives her a special eye for building great team culture and establishing communication pathways within the team that radiate outward towards the rest of the department and organization. She also understands the spatial relationships in play between team mates, both co-located and remote and can help mitigate distance decay
In her free time, she is also volunteers and participates in her local Scrum Alliance user group (Utah Agile) coordinating a regularly-held monthly meetups where local Scrum professionals come to mentor and be mentored. She has been a member of Utah Agile since 2015.
