Oon Kean Lin

Oon Kean Lin have been involved in Java software development for over a decade. Throughout the years, he played various roles from a team leader to a technical manager. After living in the cadence of traditional development approach, he found much needed insight and pragmatism to software delivery from Extreme Programming. Since then there was no turning back.

The agile journey lead him to work in a Scrum + XP team for the last 9 years. Most of these years he took on the more technical role similar to a Scrum Developer in delivering software, and at the same time sharing with the team the principles of Scrum. During these time he realized that for teams to be effective, technical capabilities and organizational support for agile methodologies are not the only factors. Dysfunctions in the team wreaks havoc even in the best technically strong team. The opposite is also true - a well-oiled team of incompetent developers will not deliver the goods either. It is here where Kean’s current area of interest lies: working with teams to grow technically and collaboratively. For the past 1+ year, Kean moved on to the roles of Scrum Master and Agile Coach in order to help teams get better.

Oon Kean Lin is an ICAgile Certified Professional in Agile Coaching and Agile Facilitation, and Certified Scrum Professional and ScrumMaster from Scrum Alliance.
