Peter Sinclair

Peter Sinclair is a Certified Scrum Master (since 2007) and Certified Scrum Product Owner (since 2012). In the past 10 years he has helped organisations successfully transition from waterfall to agile scrum methodologies. Currently employed with FTI Consulting, a business advisory firm headquartered in Washington DC, Peter has been a member of the leadership team since 2008. The FTI technology team has over 200 professionals who specialise in software as a service. Their market leading Legal review platform was conceived and originally developed from Melbourne (where Peter is located). Peter works within a global team, with software development offices in Melbourne, London, Pittsburgh, Seattle and Annapolis. As the head of the Program Office, Peter leads a team of Project Managers who have been responsible for the successful implementation of a team based Scrum model. Prior to FTI Peter has worked as a Project Manager, Account Manager, IT development Manager and Operations Manger within various technology companies, whose industries include Early Case Assessment, Big Data, Legal Review, Automotive Technology and Insurance. Peter is a skilled change management practitioner. His most recent achievements include introducing a continuous delivery model into what was a quarterly release model. This resulted in the group transitioning from 14 branches to a single main branch of code that is continuously release ready and which is deployed weekly. An improvement from 4 releases per year to 52 releases each year. He is currently working on a transition away from locally hosted On Demand and On Premise deployments to Cloud based Amazon Web Services hosting. Peter has been in front of many other initiatives including the introduction of infinity estimates, product planning, road mapping, velocity measurements, risk identification, metrics assessments and improvements and detailed reporting. Peter has excellent interpersonal skills. He is a team player who is able to demonstrate and encourage fellow team members on the benefits of process change. He enjoys working with teams and mentoring team members. He is an agile & scrum specialist who relishes the opportunity to assist individuals and organisations achieve their goals.
