About Scrum Better with Kanban

Scrum Better with Kanban teaches you how to infuse your existing scrum practices with Kanban's proven techniques so you can remove friction, improve flow, and tackle variability with confidence.
You'll dive into the six general practices of the Kanban method:
- Visualize. Make work and its flow visible.
- Limit work in progress. Stop starting, start finishing!
- Manage flow. Spot and resolve what's slowing work down.
- Make policies explicit. Align your team with clear, shared rules.
- Establish feedback loops. Create the right cadence for inspection and adaptation.
- Improve collaboratively, evolve experimentally. Apply the scientific method to continuous improvement.
The three change management principles:
- Start with what you do now (no sweeping overhauls).
- Agree to pursue evolutionary change, not disruptive change.
- Encourage leadership at every level, not just from the top.

About the Trainer
Richard Cheng is an Agile trainer with a deep background in Kanban, Agile, Scrum, and Product Ownership. Richard creates fun, immersive training courses that engage the students creatively and effectively.
Richard is the founder of Agility Prime Solutions. A graduate of Virginia Tech, Richard has authored several publications on project management, given keynote talks around the world, is a member of Mensa, and holds certifications including Certified Scrum Trainer (CST), Accredited Kanban Trainer (AKT), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), Certified LeSS Practitioner, Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), and SAFe Program Consultant (SPC). Richard was a founder and on the executive committee of the Agile Delivery for Agencies, Programs, and Teams (ADAPT), an Agile government task force.
