Course

In this course, we will use Scrum to run the course - we will have a backlog, plan our mornings and afternoon as Sprints, and track our progress with burn-ups. Participants can suggest additional topics which we will then prioritize and include in the course.

The course is highly interactive and most topics contain group exercises to challenge the participants. We will use Zoom for the communications and break-out rooms, and Miro as our collaborative workspace. Digital notes will be created as part of the information delivery, and all materials are shared with participants after the course.

Each training day is 6 hours, starting at 9:00 and ending at 15:00, leaving some time for other work stuff each day. There is a lunch time in the middle of the course day.

Topics related to product ownership and product backlog management are the primary content of the CSPO course on May 26-28, 2025 (https://agile-serbia.rs/product/certified-scrum-product-owner-course/). Basic backlog management concepts are introduced through managing the course backlog itself. Product Owner role is covered on a higher level and questions relating to product ownership are welcome on the course.

The course has been designed as a medium level course, so there is information for both novices and more experienced Agilists. There's been many participants who have used Agile & Scrum for 5-10 years and still gained new insights from this course and recommend it for others with experience.

Commitment

There is some preparation work before the course that the participants are expected to go through. This material will introduce core Scrum concepts and some other key ideas that will be expanded upon during the course itself.

This is not just a Scrum course. We will go beyond Scrum to help participants understand the usefulness of other Agile frameworks in particular situations, and help them choose what works for them in various situations.

Full participation on all days is expected, due to certification requirements by Scrum Alliance.

Having a camera on for most of the course is highly recommended. Please attend the course from a location that is comfortable and allows you to participate in the group exercises well.
