Our Advanced-CSM course is an immersive experience that takes Scrum Masters beyond the basics of Scrum. We’ll explore Facilitation, Coaching and Servant Leadership for all required areas of the Scrum Master job: serving the organization, serving the Product Owner and serving the Developers. Adult education approaches are used to provide participants with a safe environment to improve their skills.

Duration

2 Day In Person Training from 9:00am-5:00pm (Central Time) with breaks throughout the day.Class my vote for a shorter meal break resulting in end time being earlier.

Certification is awarded based on participation for the entire workshop.

CLASS OVERVIEW

In this class you will learn how to:

• Identify practices that are helpful and harmful to Scrum adoptions
• Effectively facilitate conversations between Product Owners and stakeholders as well as between Product and Developers
• Intervene leveraging powerful questions and behavioral style awareness when faced with low levels of engagement or motivation
• Improve conflict resolution techniques
• Escalate for removal of impediments to the Scrum Team’s progress
• Improve Scrum Team dynamics
• Identify when an organization is not ready to Scale Agile or Scrum

Angela Johnson

Angela is a Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) and Certified Less Practitioner (CLP) and Training from the BACK of the Room (TBR) Certified Trainer and one of the first Scrum Alliance Path to CSP Approved Educators. Angela helps others successfully implement Scrum and Agile to achieve their goals and objectives.

Clients that Angela has transformed include: agency / services, software, hardware, marketing, learning and development and more. The breadth and depth of her experience extends beyond Scrum and includes Kanban, eXtreme Programming, Facilitation and Organizational Change for business agility.

A graduate of Hamline University (B.A.) and the University of St. Thomas (M.B.C.), Angela focuses her work on the upper Midwestern areas of the United States to best serve in her most important roles: wife and mom.
