About
Scott Forbes - I have been in the software industry for over 15 years now and have learned so much along the way. I spent 13 years at EA Sports, working on a huge list of video games including Madden NFL Football, Tiger Woods (then Rory McIllroy)Golf, Command and Conquer-Generals, NBA Live, NCAA Football, The Sims Online, NASCAR and many others along the way. I started in Quality Assurance as a tester and worked my way up to taking over as Director of multiple studios QA departments within 6 years of starting there. I then made the move to a Development Director and that was the same time that EA started to become Agile and introduced the scrum methodology to our development processes. For 4 and a half years I was the scrum master of up to 5 teams at a time (woah) while building some great video games and working with amazing teams. I was certified as a scrum master back in 2012 and every year my teams got more and more mature and disciplined in their scrum practices as I became better and better as a scrum master. After 13 years at EA it was time to move on from the gaming industry and since January 2016 I have been the Sr. Program Manager at Cvent where I managed scrum masters and act as a scrum/agile coach for 30+ scrum teams. Most recently, I have been promoted to Senior Director, Technical Program Management and oversee the development processes, manage the scrum masters and program managers for over 90 scrum teams.
