Sayantani Basu is a Senior Project Manager in a non-profit organization in Washington DC that provides IT applications and services to facilitate students applying to medical schools and residency programs. She has over 20 years of experience in business analysis, product development and project management, spanning the financial, health care, transport and public sector domains. Since 2010 Sayantani has been part of various agile teams while she was working for private organizations, non profits and federal clients. She currently holds the certifications as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Product Owner (CSPO) , Advanced Certified Product Owner, Certified Scrum Professional- Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Professional- Product Owner with Scrum Alliance. She also holds PMP and PMI-ACP certifications from Project management Institute (PMI). She is very interested in other Agile methodologies, particularly SAFe. She holds SAFe Agilist and SAFe Scrum Master certifications.
Sayantani studied engineering in India and started her career as a developer. Over the period of time, she has worked in different roles as Business Analyst, Project Manager, Scrum Master and Product Owner. She is passionate about different Agile methodologies and frameworks, particularly Scrum and SAFe. She truly believes that in this age of changing technologies, markets and customer demands, organizations can immensely benefit by adopting the agile methods. She is an advocate of agile values and principles and has been helping and managing agile teams by using techniques from Scrum, Kanban, Lean and Extreme Programming (XP). She is very interested to learn about Agile Leadership and Agile Project Management.
Sayantani is a trained Odissi dancer who also enjoys reading and travelling. She enjoys reading biographies, books on management and agile software development from where she can pick lessons and techniques to apply in her work.
