Rami Hayek -
I received my Bachelor of Business Administration in 2001 from the university of Sofia in Bulgaria. I started my work experience in a company called CMI - Bulgaria, which was the official distributor of WD-40 and Pennzoil for easten europe. I started my career as a procuct manager, responsable to drive product penetration, distribution, marketing and awarness campaigns. At the same time,I completed a Master's degree in Management.
In August 2003 I moved to Canada and in October i started at Rogers Communications - one of the largest Canadian telecom companies. I started working on projects and this ignited my passion for delivering complex IT solutions. Since then, I have been curious about technology/software and more importantly trying different approaches to execute on ideas and business/IT objectives.
In 2007, I earned my PMP certification and as Agile methodologies gain popularity, I earned the CSM certification in 2011 and to compliment it I completed the CSPO certification in 2015.
I am currently leading a software development team delivering solutions for two critical sales channels - Direct Sales (over 3000 users) & 3rd party retail (over 4000 locations).
Responsabilities include
- Translates strategic vision into project scope /tactics
- Direct accountability for the management and delivery of multiple and complex technology projects – ensuring the business value is maximized and aligned with both business and technology
- Coordinates the activities of internal and vendor resources to ensure deliverables are met
- Oversees multiple projects simultaneously & identify dependencies
- Resolves complex issues /conflicts and ambiguity ; escalates to executive level where required
- Ensures that major issues are identified and addressed on a timely basis and project risks are appropriately contained.
- Provides timely project status updates to executives & project stakeholders
- Recommends improvements/new technology to meet strategic business objectives
- Participates in strategic roadmap discussions
- Acts as a point of contact for all technology related items for Direct Sales & 3rd party retail
- Ensures IT delivery supports the strategy for call center sales, field sales and 3rd party sales.
- Defines the roadmap for tools/application and technology needs and align strategically
- Implements culture/methodologies tactics to shift to an agile mode of execution to gain project benefits sooner and gain competitive advantage
- Participates in strategic roadmap discussions and SLT meetings
