About
I’m a technologist, entrepreneur, product strategist, and software developer. At Oracle, I'm responsible for engineering across the knowledge platform, which includes authoring, search and analytics to deliver quality software in both the Cloud and on premise to capture, easily find, and access knowledge once hidden in the myriad of systems, applications, and databases throughout the enterprise.
I joined Oracle through the acquisition of InQuira, which earlier acquired Conviveon, where I was cofounder and VP of Software Engineering and Product Strategy. Conviveon provided a cloud based knowledge management and collaborative application platform designed to be extended by 3rd parties. I was responsible for driving product strategy and ran engineering programs focused on putting Conviveons's platform to work, going from bootstrapping to 250+ customers prior to being acquired.
Prior to Conviveon, I joined VerticalNet, a public company backed by Microsoft, as Director of Product Development through the acquisition of NetCommerce Corporation. At VerticalNet, I managed geographically dispersed engineering teams focusing on integrating equally dispersed technologies brought together through many technology acquisitions during the dot com crazy days.
As VP of Engineering at NetCommerce, I helped create a web based content management solution that took the company from bootstrap to acquisition by VerticalNet in under three years.
Prior to jumping ship to help start up NetCommerce, I led the engineering team at AAA, which created AAA's first online presence, enabling access to most of AAA's services including travel reservations, tour book data, tripticks, etc.
