Phil Barker is a Sr. Program Manager  with more than 15 years of experience working in Fortune 500 companies and startup environments. Areas of expertise include web management, project management, and web development work in specialty/online retail, online marketplace, online ticketing, e-commerce, and networking equipment/hardware companies. Employers have included Raining Data, Paciolan, Gateway/eMachines, Hot Topic, Anna's Linens, Rakuten.com (formerly Buy.com), and most recently, DELL EMC. With a Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology from Kaplan University and an MBA and Master of Arts Degree in Organizational Leadership w/ Professional Coaching Certificate from Concordia University, Irvine, Phil has a well-rounded education from both the IT and Business sides of the house.

Phil&rsquo's Agile and Scrum experience has been honed at Rakuten.com as a Scrum Master of up to 7 scrum teams. He had the prestigious opportunity to launch the very first Scrum Team at Rakuten.com and champion Agile and Scrum transformation to both the Business and IT departments. Looking to increase his knowledge in Scrum and be the knowledge expert for the PMO team, he obtained his CSM and CSPO certifications in 2014 and his CSP certification in 2016. Phil is now in the process of working on his CTC certification  to better support the teams and organizations he works with.

Phil lives in Mission Viejo, CA, with his wife, Christine, and children, Savannah and Trevor. When not focusing on Scrum and Project Management at Rakuten.com, he can be found playing drums, out on the soccer field, and cultivating his green thumb in the yard.
