Mike Suman

Mike Suman is the Vice President of Technology responsible for overseeing all corporate IT functions including infrastructure, software development, and product support. He brings over 20 years of IT experience to ATS including a portfolio of work in the commercial, federal and health care sectors. Suman has experience in infrastructure planning and build out; managing system development, design, and architecture; and he is a proven leader managing highly technical teams who has a reputation for fostering excellence.

Suman joined ATS from the American Association of Medical Colleges where he most recently served as Lead Software Engineer. During his 12 years at AAMC, Suman was responsible for work on complex projects including AMCAS™, MCAT™, Workday Human Capital Management, Workday Finance and Global Health Learning Objectives (GHLO™). He was awarded the Kat Turner Spirit of Excellence Award in 2005 for his team contributions and collaboration across the company to provide a centralized and cost effective solutions to enterprise data collection and stewardship.

Beginning his career in 1994, Suman held various positions in IT starting in the help desk and worked his way through numerous infrastructure and software development roles into the executive management seat he currently holds. During his 15 years as a software engineer, Suman played a key role in leading the architecture, development and integration of numerous government, financial, human resources, and medical systems.

A graduate from the University of Pittsburgh and the Whiting School of Engineering at The Johns Hopkins University, Suman has provided IT due diligence for companies worldwide and co-founded Capitol Network Solutions LLC, an IT support company. Mike is a Certified Agile Leader, ScrumMaster and Product Owner.  He is very active in the Special Olympics movement and has provided over two decades of philanthropic service to the organization as a supporter, coach, and management team member.
