Michelle Midboe

Over the last 20 years, I have held or managed nearly every business and technology role within the software development lifecycle.  I have a proven record in creating high-quality software applications and managing development teams that deliver value while improving quality. I am skilled at managing portfolios, defining products, and articulating the needs of the business.  Throughout my career, I have enjoyed mentoring others, which  prepared me to be a successful, passionate agile coach.

I graduated with Bachelor degrees in Psychology and Computer Science.  My certifications include: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) -2017, Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)- 2017, Java Programmers Certification- 2003, Business Continuity Planning(BCP) -2009, and SAFE 4.0 SA Certification - 2016. I also am a member of the Scrum Alliance, PMI, Agile Twin Cities, and Twin Cities Business Architect Forum (TCBAF). I have been practicing XP since 2001 and agile since 2003.

With 20 years of experience in Information Technology, I have played a vital role in transforming both IT and business teams to agile practices in a variety of roles including product owner, scrum master, and enterprise agile coach. Much of my career experience has been within the Online Learning and Healthcare industries. I have held several positions within those organizations including product manager, developer, portfolio/program manager, QA/UAT lead, and release manager. Many of the organizations initially were following waterfall practices and transitioned to agile. I was both a team member and a lead in the transformations I have been a part of.

To me, agile is more than way to develop software, it is a cultural shift for the entire organization. Helping teams move to agile practices brings a sense of satisfaction and joy that keeps me loving what I do on a daily basis.
