My purpose is to improve the lives of people who have challenging, difficult jobs which are essential to drive business outcomes. Organizations, teams, and people engaged in the digital world have a life full of obstacles, unknowns, and uncertainties which must be overcome to succeed.
A mindset shift is needed to transform from a project orientation to a product orientation at both the product planning and product delivery levels. Product planning transformation occurs by shifting to an outcome focus based on customer interaction to guide the evolution of the product. Product delivery transformation occurs by empowering self-organized teams to work together and deliver high quality product increments on a predictable cadence. Focus is maintained on making small incremental change to manage risk, improve product stability, and maximize learning.
I use a deep understanding of lean / agile tools and techniques, engineering practices, product management techniques, and change management alternatives to serve as a catalyst for change. Train people in concepts and alternatives to help them overcome the obstacles they face. Coach people to promote their growth by learning to better solve their own problems and challenge their assumptions. Facilitate decision making and conflict resolution. Mentor individuals to improve their personal effectiveness.
