About
I've been navigating my way through Agile for over 8 years now. Started this journey as a Business Analyst, only to become a Scrum Master instead. Since my first training on Agile, I was fascinated by the self organization and empowerment it granted the teams. My first opportunity as a ScrumMaster was with Wolters Kluwer Global Platform. While there I was working with anywhere from one team to five. Those teams were not all co located, some were even way across the pond. The biggest thing I learned while working with these teams, is one ScrumMaster per team is always the preference. Otherwise, the coaching and guidance can be lost and doesn't allow them to get to the performing level. After over 3 years, I chose to spread my wings and move on to Serve an American Express Company. So far this has been my favorite adventure, handling all front facing customer portals. I also was able to stay attentive to all needs by only having one team. The team not only made it to performing level, defects were down to 98% free upon my departure. Unfortunately American Express had a big layoff, losing over 70% of the staff. Now I am onto a new adventure, converting a company to Agile Framework. This new area is helping me to learn/develop outlook from a high level coaching aspect. It's looking to be an awesome adventure and one I will learn a lot from.
