My name is Katie Burnham. I was first exposed to Scrum when I was assigned to work with the IT department on a project. The team with whom I worked as practicing Scrum. After experiencing the power of Scrum, I wanted to learn more about how they created such a high-performing team in a fun work environment.
As a result, I attended a Certified Scrum Master training course and was hooked. The Agile values and principles resonated with me, and I wanted to be part of cultivating that mindset in my workplace. Shortly after obtaining my certification, a Scrum Master position became available at my current company, and I swiftly applied.
Since then, I have had the opportunity to work with multiple Scrum teams throughout the IT department. I love my position as a servant leader. I truly enjoying building trusting relationships among and between teams. I continue to expand my Agile repitoire, and the more I learn, the more energized I am. I believe in the Agile mindset, in empowering people to achieve great results.
