Katherine (Kae) Van Toor

Kae van Toor has more than 20 years of experience in collaborating with both internal and external teams on value stream initiatives where she contributed through many roles (Co-founder, Developer, Agile Coach, Scrum Master, Product Owner, Program Manager and Project Manager). Kae has carried several certifications throughout her career PRINCE2, Managing Successful Programme, SAFe SA, Scrum@Scale, CSP-SM, CSP-PO, CSM and CSPO.

Over the past 10 years, Kae has been a dedicated Agile servant leader on high profile transformational software development projects/ initiatives, for enterprise organizations, and helped four organizations transition from Waterfall to Agile.

Scrum was the first Agile framework that peeked Kae interest. About a year before she had a chance to use the framework professionally, Kae read an article about the New New Product Development Game. This was the starting point of her fruitful Agile journey.

Kae is uniquely positioned to help build happy and effective Teams/organizations due to her strong interpersonal skills, enthusiasm and drive to learn and improve. These traits and other forward thinking skills continue to grow and are propelled by her international heritage and journeys, practice of martial arts and expanding spiritual awareness. This amounts to a servant leader who is intrinsically motivated by purpose and mastery over extrinsic factors and actively works to embody the Scrum values – courage, commitment, focus, respect and openness.
