Junius Rowland is currently the Enterprise Agile Coach at Aflac's ITC and Headquarters. After experiencing project management from a waterfall standpoint, he was presented with a chance to try something new by rebooting a project using the Scrum framework. He never looked back as he took on the role of Product Owner for the Texas Learning Object Repository, which serves all public Universities and Colleges in the state of Texas. During this time, he also began studying for his first Agile Certification and now holds the PSM, CSM, CSP, PMI-ACP, SAFe SA, ICP, and ICP-ACC credentials in addition to his Bachelors in M.I.S. Junius is also an ICAgile Authorized Trainer, and occasionally teaches group classes.
Combining his knowledge of Agile with an already well developed set of soft skills, laid the foundation for opportunities in Texas, Tennessee, and Georgia. Making positive contributions within his company, as well as the larger Agile community continues to increase his recognition as a strong Agile Practitioner.
