Imtiaz Fazal is a Certified Scrum Master, Agile Coach, SAFe Agilist and a founder of FirstDay@Work who serves as a coach, mentor and trainer for agile transformations and scrum. He is an advance scrum master that works on large scale agile delivery ($10 Million+) using scrum and SAFe at New York Life. He coaches project managers and traditional business owners (product owners in agile) who are in the process of managing and delivering agile projects.  With over twenty years of experience working in a variety of environments, Imtiaz specializes in the area of project management and has been helping companies become more agile by adopt and improve their use of agile processes and techniques in order to build high performance delivery scrum team.

He has previously served as a Founder at ATS managing and delivering products and application for various small and midsize clients. Imtiaz ran his first Scrum project in 2004 and with his current role at New York Life Insurance, has been a big advocate of Scrum for large scale organization and courses/certification offered by scrum alliance. He has helped with the adoption of Scrum practices at various projects and clients such as New York Life, Northrop Grumman and ATS. Imtiaz has created many work products for program and project management teams that are transforming into agile. Imtiaz acts as an advance scrum master who has trained many project managers and team members at New York Life who participate in his project scrum ceremonies and have now successfully completed their CSM certification.

Imtiaz is an entrepreneur and a leader and has most recently lead a very successful product release under agile delivery providing digital experience to millions of New York Life customer and policy holder. Imtiaz has strong facilitation, collaboration, presentation and communication skills in addition to being strong at negotiation, influencing and relationship building.
