Heather Cocchiarella

Heather Cocchiarella is currently employed full-time at a loan servicing organization, serving as a IT Manager for three software development scrum teams.  She also proactively extends her reach to the larger organization to create an environment where agile can thrive. 

Some things she is passionate about:

• To succeed with agile, it needs to be a belief - beliefs shape our actions, and our actions shape our environment.  If one embodies the agile values and principles, the rest comes naturally.

• Being a servant first – committing herself to growing the team, and organization to reach their full potential through continuous improvement, and visibility/removal of roadblocks.

• Active listening – truly listening to understand. She acts as a strong observer, and often a sounding board, closely paying attention to what’s not being said. 

• Challenging the status quo – continually challenging by asking thought-provoking questions.  More importantly, she knows when to be disruptive and when to listen. 

• Authenticity - her confident, honest, and approachable manner has cultivated strong relationships with those she is surrounded by - from team members to leaders in the organization.
