About
My name is Dr. Hilary Aza. I hold a bachelor of electrical engineering and automation degree, a master of management with a concentration in project management degree, and a Ph.D. degree in conflict analysis and resolution. I have over ten years of project management experience in hybrid environments of waterfall and agile. My project management experience has mostly focused on software and application development and implementation in the payments, mortgage accounting, asset pricing and verification, healthcare, medical examiner, and government environments. I am currently a portfolio manager at a local government agency. I oversee the eGovernment Portfolio, ensuring project and program delivery for this portfolio. In my current role, I coach project managers and scrum masters on the waterfall and scrum delivery processes. I also coach executive leadership on their role and support of scrum projects. Prior to my current employment, I held roles such as Manager of Integration Services, Senior Project Manager, Senior Project Management Consultant, Program Manager, and Portfolio Manager. In these roles, I managed projects using both waterfall and scrum delivery methodologies. As part of my scrum master responsibilities, I guided daily scrum meetings and removed obstacles, so that team members could do their work in a self-directed manner. I also coached team members on the scrum process, I facilitated scrum reviews and retrospectives. I am very versed with the scrum and waterfall project delivery methodologies. To show my commitment to the project management and delivery arena, I have acquired a number of certifications in project management including CSM, PMI-ACP, PMP, RMP, etc. I also completed a Ph.D. Degree in which I focused my dissertation on cross-cultural complexities and interpersonal conflict in multicultural software development project teams.
