About
One who chases 2 rabbits, catches neither.
I am a portfolio, program, product and project leader, community evangelist, entrepreneur, engineer and consultant. I create, mentor and lead teams and initiatives which add value and solve problems for the communities they are enabling.
The Agile journey which I have been on started for me as an artist and software engineer. This combination led me to working with small, medium and large product and services companies in software, community development, education and finance.
Along this journey I was a part of 3 start-ups and traveling around the globe to, as mentioned above, enable the communities I was fortunate enough to be working with.
Besides the wonderful experiences involving my family, my friends and the communities we are a part of, there are 3 experiences which have helped to shape my views regarding Agile, it's relevance, importance and its benefit.
The first is my work at Microsoft living on the US East coast, living on the West coast and many points in between and outside of the US. This exposed me to Agile concepts applied in realtime for all sorts of Team scenarios be it 3 people or 500 people.
Next I chose to venture out and invest my time and energies back into the community focusing on software education, sustainable living and startup-idea generation.
Next it was my work at LEGO in the US and in Europe which exposed me to a broad and deep variation of cultures and practices which centered around learning and systems of play.
My journey continues with the working at Harvard as I do my part to help Agile to grow and thrive within a higher education environment.
