David Ross

David Ross I am project management and agile professional with over 15 years experience in IT project management direct agile methodology experience as a Scrum Master and internal agile coach. I hold a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Manitoba, and two MBA degrees from the Pontificia Universidad de Chile and the University of Texas at Austin. Since completing my graduate studies I have worked in a project management role for 7 different software companies, first in a project management and implementation role for 5 years for a software company in the government and utility sector , then in a similar role as a professional services manager for 7 years for a financial services software company. In my previous role with CSID (now Experian Partner Solutions), I was responsible for implementing our initial Agile Transformation. When I first joined the company, our processes were still focused on a waterfall methodology, so I worked closely with our management team to come up with our Agile vision and strategy, and began working with our front-end development team to implement a sprint structure for our work queue, and worked with our product team to move to a user story format instead of the of the Product Requirement Documents used previously. I also implemented and administer the ALM tools JIRA and Confluence. I worked to implement Agile practices in 5 different teams across the company with varying levels of maturity.  I left CSID (Experian Partner Solutions) in 2017 and joined Vrbo (part of Expedia Group) as a Sr. Technical Program Manager and supported agile pods as Scrum Master and servant leader. Later I became an Agile Coach with the Expedia Partner Solutions group and supported several different teams during the pandemic. I also was a member of the Agile Training Team and AgileX (in-house volunteer Agile Coaching organization within Vrbo) In 2021 I left Vrbo and joined Github as a CIM (Continuous Improvement Manager) to help improve their overall enterprise agility. In 2023 I joined Miro as their Agile Product Evangelist. I'm an avid traveler, having visited over 40 countries around the world, and have lived in various cities in Canada, Mexico, Chile and the United States. Austin Texas has been home since 2001 and I enjoy it's live music scene, diverse food options, and outdoor-focused lifestyle.
