About
David Bunte started his first agile team in Scrum with only a basic knowledge he acquired from books. Being fortunate enough to be located near Boulder (the headquarters of Rally Software and a great concentration of Agile pioneers), he quickly went on to get his Certified ScrumMaster training (from the late Jean Tabaka) and Certified Scrum Product Owner training (from Ronica Roth) in 2008. From there, he started his learning in earnest. He connected with the community and began attending local Agile events (including meetups from Boulder Agile, Agile Denver and the Mile High Agile conference). He also started voraciously consuming books on Scrum (and other Agile frameworks), servant leadership, facilitation, coaching, systems thinking, and other related areas. Since then, he has also acquired certifications as a SAFe Agilist and Certified LeSS practitioner.
Since that first self bootstrapped team, he has continued to practice Scrum both as a ScrumMaster and as an Agile coach over the last decade in all his subsequent positions. Although they all contained many similar elements (Scrum ceremonies, Scrum artifacts, etc...) none of these roles have been exactly the same. Differing teams, circumstances and ecosystems have facilitated the journey of learning he still continues on.
