Cristi Poindexter

Over the last 13 years, I have increasingly grown both in knowledge and desire for agile. My first successful experience with agile was via Scrum as a developer; as a developer, I loved focusing on small parts of functionality rather than being overwhelmed with designing an entire system. I progressed from a Scrum developer into a Scrum Master role facilitating team discussions, removing roadblocks, running process meetings and continued to learn and grow my interest in agile.  Then, I became a Scrum Product Owner. I played the Product Owner role for over 6.5 years and was very successful at it. Ultimately, I became an agile coach.  I have always been a team player and agile frameworks play to this strength. In addition, I believe being a software developer, Scrum  Master and Product Owner for numerous years gives me a unique advantage to being an agile coach.  I believe collaboration is key to project success and I thoroughly enjoy working closely with customers and teams in creating successful software projects. My love of agile drove me to get my Agile Certified Practitioner Certification from the Project Management Institute in May of 2014. I received both the Certified Scrum Master and Certified Scrum Product Owner certifications through Scrum Alliance in May of 2015. I also obtained the Certified Scrum Professional certification. I I am passionate about agile! I love to learn about agile particularly Scrum. I have seen Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban and variations of agile frameworks work in mutiple organizations.  I know firsthand the benefits it offers and I have seen companies reap the benefits.  The developers are happier, the customers are happier and the company is happier. The product is better. There are so many positives that come with implementing agile that I am baffled with the companies that have not started down the agile path. These companies are missing out on competitive advantages, increased ROI, happier employees and countless missed opportunities! I have been an active and key leader in every company I have worked in since learning agile. I thoroughly enjoy coaching and teaching others about agile/Scrum and am constantly learning more about it.  I am truly thankful to do a job I love everyday!
