Amir Bormand

Amir Bormand is the Co-founder of Elevano (a California based technology recruitment company). Amir is a unique tech recruiter as he is a former developer (who could still jot out a few lines of code). In his current position as co-founder of Elevano, he is responsible for instilling a developer-centric view within every aspect of recruiting and sales.

Previous to Elevano, Amir was a practice manager at a Business Intelligence consulting company. He helped closed the largest phase 1 statement of work in the company’s history (a little over a $1M SOW!). He left that role and wanted to venture into technology recruitment. He had seen the highs and (mostly) lows of how recruiters had dealt with him during his developer days. He marries his technology background with grounded personal principles of honesty, transparency, and respect. Too many times during his career he saw agency recruiters take shortcuts and use deceptive practices to simply further their own gains. He envisioned an agency that would put humanity and empathy in the recruitment process.

When he’s not working, Amir enjoys spending time with his families and traveling. He and his wife have a 5-year-old daughter, who keeps him busy with the latest trends in Disney cartoons. You might just catch him humming Disney movie theme songs!
