Dr. Ali Abedi

I am a project manager with many years of experience in the fields of process improvement, project management, IT, and education.  I have managed initiatives in the following industries:

• Automotive (worked on projects with clients such as Chysler, BMW, Benz, and Porsche)
• Industrial construction (was a member of the Project Management Office for a petrochemical plan construction project with a workforce of more than 2,000)
• Banking (worked on email operations, customer call center automation, IT programming and database systems, and ETL projects)
• Insurance (worked with auto, life, and health insurance companies and built databases for managing operations and reporting functions)
• Customer service (managed reporting functions of multiple call centers covering a wide range of metrics such as production, capacity planning, attendance, payroll adjustments)

I have managed projects in predictive (traditional), Agile, hybrid, Six Sigma, and Theory-of-Constraints (TOC) methods.  My educational background is in the fields of business/management, computer science, and educational leadership.

My free time is spent on researching project management methodologies and best practices.
