Kris Kibak

Kris Kibak was born and raised in Santa Cruz, California.  At about the age of 13, Kris' father, Henrik Kibak, started teaching Kris to write HTML code on the family's one shared computer.  

Kris then learned to program in a limited version of basic on TI82 calculators provided by his school, before enrolling in a Visual Basic course at the local junior college while still a freshman in highschool.  At about 15, Kris started learning PHP using online tutorials and built out a gaming ladder, forum, and news site at stimmed.com (long since gone).

With a background in web development and a love for solving business problems, Kris started his own online business in 2002, while working at a local restaurant on the side.  By the time he graduated from UCSC in 2006, he was making more money with his online businesses than he could at an accounting firm, which is where most of his fellow Business Management Economics students were seeking jobs.  

Kris continued into dropshipping, SEO, affiliate marketing, media buying, and eventually into full-on startups, founding The Control Group in San Diego.  Today, Kris continues to work with his startup while also investing extensively in real estate and equities.
