About the course

This Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) course is an immersive learning experience involving a highly interactive mix of seminars, group discussions, team activities, games and role-plays.

You will learn:

The philosophy, science, values and principles that guide you in applying Scrum
The purpose of each of the Scrum meetings plus guidelines and tips for getting the most out of them
How Project Management is covered by the three Scrum roles
How to draw and make use of Sprint and Release Burndown charts
How to establish a Definition of Done and keep a Groomed Product Backlog
How to lead an agile team effectively without micro-managing or interfering with its self-organisation

Scrum training requires an extensive knowledge of the English language as it does not use basic terminology. Made it difficult to follow along when you have to look up the meaning of lots of words along the way. Having some basic scrum knowledge and experience beforehand made it a bit easier to understand, especially as I don't work in a software development space.

The Scrum certification course gave me the insight and skills into how to use the Scrum Master role within my development activities. Rowan was knowledgeable and open to being questioned deeply on different aspects of the role.

The trainer did an excellent job delivering the content with clarity and enthusiasm. His ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible way and engage participants throughout the sessions was impressive and greatly appreciated.

A whole lot of content in a tight timeframe. The content really closely followed the in depth discussion that was going on in the room. It also helps that it was in person with such a great bunch of people. Rowan did an excellent job of steering the conversations and keep the discussion on point and relevant.
