About the Course
The Product Owner role is critical to maximising Return on Investment from agile projects and is one of the most challenging and rewarding agile roles. Many Product Owners come from business areas of the organisation and have limited familiarity with elements of software development, project management and agile methods that are critical to success in the Product Owner role. For these reasons, it is vitally important that Product Owners gain a solid understanding of their role and responsibilities as well as the knowledge, skills and tools to work effectively with Scrum teams.
Audience
This course is most suitable for Product Owners and staff assisting with requirements (e.g. Business Analysts and Subject Matter Experts), solution architecture (e.g. Solution Architects and Tech Leads), planning and coaching (e.g. ScrumMasters and Agile Coaches).

About the Facilitators
This Certified ScrumMaster course will be jointly led by Simon Bennett and Rowan Bunning.
Simon Bennett has been in the Agile & Lean space for over a decade. Most recently as the Head of Lean Agile & Systems Thinking for EMC Consulting, Simon has been all of practitioner, coach & trainer serving additionally as the Product Owner for the popular TFS process template "Scrum for Team System", "Task Board for Team System" and the Microsoft Surface Planning Poker application.
Rowan Bunning is a pioneer of Scrum in Australia. He has a strong background in using Scrum with R&D-intensive product development and introducing it into organisations ranging from start-ups to global enterprises. With a technical background in web development, XML and Smalltalk, Rowan became interested in eXtreme Programming in 2001 and Scrum in 2003. He went on to become Australia's first Certified ScrumMaster and first Certified Scrum Practitioner. Having worked as an agile coach for one of Europe's leading Scrum consultancies, Rowan has built extensive experience leading, coaching, and training organisations in Scrum across Australasia.
