Christopher Mourey is married with a daughter in the Chattanooga TN area and honorably served in the Gulf War with the U.S. Army. Chris has over sixteen years of IT experience, which includes thirteen years of managing projects. Six of the thirteen years Chris was functioning as an Agile Coach on development teams. While functioning as an Agile Coach at CompuCom from May 2012 - Dec 2013, Chris coached international and domestic teams. The greatest impact Chris had was getting buy-in from stakeholders to become more agile and helping developers to think and work Agile. Chris emphasized the importance for the team to prioritize the backlog and sign off on acceptance criteria before making sprint commitments. This culture change got the attention of VIPs and was officially adopted. While functioning as a consultant with Open Systems Technology at TD bank from Jan 2014 - Apr 2014, Chris coached product owners how to evaluate the value of backlog features and prioritize them. While functioning as an Agile Coach at OrthoBanc from May 2015 - July 2019, Chris worked with the Scrum Master to introduce Scrum to the organization and share Agile values with other teams. Chris facilitated training sessions to teach breaking down users stories, backlog prioritization, the definition of done, signing off on acceptance criteria and protecting sprint commitments made by the team. After continually evangelizing Scrum within the organization we received the green light to pilot Scrum on a team that would later be the model for the organization.
