As we move through the disciplines promoted by Scrum you will gain a comprehensive understanding of agile product development methodology while specifically reviewing the behaviors expected of a Product Owner. While many of us may be accustomed to the practice of establishing value and priority across projects, the Product Owner needs to consider value and priority across the features of a single project.

Demonstrate your knowledge of the role of the Scrum Product Owner to advance your career

Details

Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)

This class is suitable for those who are responsible for setting product direction on a Scrum project. While current Certified ScrumMasters are welcome to attend, this class should not be considered as a next step after taking the CSM Class, but instead should be viewed as an alternative to the CSM Class.

Exam Details

At this time, there is no test requirement to earn a CSPO certification. Successfully attending the two-day, in-person or live-online course taught by a Certified Scrum Trainer® (CST®) will result toward certification. After completing the course, you will receive a welcome email from Scrum Alliance® prompting you to accept the license agreement for your CSPO certification. After accepting the agreement, you will be able to download and print copies of your certification.

Enlightening discussions and new ways of thinking about product management

The course seemed to focus on enhancement work and ignore bug work for the most part and seemed unrealistic since we are always balancing both. The excercises were incredibly basic and a lot of them were completed by teams using chatGPT. There was no exam or confirmation of any transfer of knowledge. The course information needed updating but the instructor 'only does that every couple of years'. We spent a lot of time on some sections and completely skipped others - seemingly in the name of time and not content.

Jim taught a great class, engaging from start to finish!
