Do I need any prior Agile or Scrum experience?

None at all. The course is designed for everyone - whether you are completely new to Agile and Scrum or formalising experience you already have. We start from the fundamentals and build from there. All you need is a willingness to engage and take part in the hands-on activities.

How does the exam work, and how does the 95% average score happen?

The exam is 50 multiple-choice questions and you need 37 correct (74%) to pass. Your fee is included and you can sit it immediately after class. How does this differ from other CSM courses?

How should I prepare?

No pre-reading or prior certification is needed. Come with an open mind, a willingness to collaborate with fellow learners, and - if you have one - a real challenge from your current work. We will help you apply what you learn directly to your context.

Is the course fully online? What software do I need?

Yes, fully online. You will need the latest Zoom desktop application (not the web or mobile version) and a browser for Mural. You will also need a stable internet connection, a working microphone, and a webcam. Cameras must stay on during the course.

How many people will be in the group?

We keep class sizes deliberately small so every participant gets meaningful interaction with their trainer. This is a hands-on course with breakout activities and open discussion - not a passive webinar. It is one of the key differences between us and larger global providers.

Is the course recorded?

No. The interactive nature of the course - breakout rooms, live exercises, open discussion - does not translate to video. The Scrum Alliance also requires full attendance across both days for certification. If your schedule changes, you can transfer to a future class at no extra cost.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

I recommend this Scrum master course and also the tutor - John Barratt. Keep it up!

Really well organised, and a deep dive into the theory and application of Scrum. John is a great trainer, and makes the course a lot of fun. Yes, there are plenty of slides for the theory, but also a lot of interactive sessions, break-out groups and roleplay to cement the learning. It is an intensive and full-on course, but there are plenty of breaks. The exam isn't easy, but passable in one go. Essentially, you get out of it what you put in, and it is worth it.

The learning path was clear and easy to follow. I liked the quizes and the break out rooms. The activities in the break out rooms was also good and challenging. Liked the music and the jokes, keep them!

The instructor is very enthusiastic and effective in using course material.

Learning with John Barratt has been a great experience for me. His sessions are very engaging , well structured, easy to understand. Both sessions were based on multiple activities to digest and practice the concept we were learning. And most important point is that I did not feel rushed through the syllabus , the delivery pace was what it normally should be for an average learner with plenty of breaks through out the day.

An excellent course and I would highly recommend anyone wanting to understand and learn the Scrum framework should take this course. John has an excellent style of teaching and excels at keeping the class motivated whilst delivering the course content to a very high standard. I would recommend this course to all of my colleagues.

At first I was sceptical but the course was very well presented and taught by John. He makes it fun and engaging and actually seemed to get everyone into a very relaxed state with each other very soon into the course. It was a very engaging and hands on course which was also great. I would definitely recommend this course in particular to people who enquire about it.
