Pieter den Heten has spent his career leading teams to deliver world-class digital products for government, corporates and startups across Europe and Asia Pacific. Companies he worked with include Canon, DriveMyCar, Ernst & Young, Elsevier, General Assembly, IAG, Nielsen, NRMA, Optus, Shell, Telstra and Toyota. Pieter’s experience spans most digital disciplines: he has worked as a web designer, front-end developer, project manager, business analyst, marketing communications advisor and UX lead and architect. His hybrid background gives him a thorough understanding of the end-to-end delivery and development process. He intuitively understands the challenges of those managing, as well as those creating digital projects. 

Since he started his career, Pieter has been a passionate advocate of usability and accessibility. He co-founded Cascadis, a professional association championing web standards and accessibility guidelines within the Dutch government. Pieter is completing a Master of Business Administration at Deakin University to expand his knowledge of business processes and their impact on the digital decision-making.
