Course details
This two day course—taught by author and popular Scrum and agile trainer Mike Cohn—teaches you how to use the Scrum product backlog as a tool for success and equip you with what you need to achieve success with Scrum.
Course Description
Certified Scrum Product Owner Training teaches you, the product owner, how to use the product backlog as a tool for success. As you watch the product take shape, iteration after iteration, you can restructure the Product Backlog to incorporate your insights or respond to changes in business conditions. You can also identify and cancel unsuccessful projects early, often within the first several months. The Certified Scrum Product Owner; course equips you with what you need to achieve success with Scrum.
Intuitive and lightweight, the Scrum process delivers completed increments of the product at rapid, regular intervals, usually from every two weeks to a month. Rather than the traditional system of turning a project over to a project manager while you then wait and hope for the best, Scrum offers an effective alternative, made even more attractive when considering the statistics of traditional product approaches in which over 50% of all projects fail and those that succeed deliver products in which 64% of the functionality is rarely or never used.
Let us help you avoid becoming one of these statistics.
Following successful completion of the course, each participant will be designated a Certified Scrum Product Owner. This certification includes a two-year membership in the Scrum Alliance, where additional member-only material and information are available.
This course earns you 15 PDUs (Category A) within the PMI. This course also earns you 16 SEUs (Category B) within the Scrum Alliance. PDUs and SEUs can be used toward PMP, PMI-ACP, CSP and other certifications.

Reviews
This course focuses on the concepts and application of Scrum in being a Product Owner and practical feel of the process. Love to take up more classes with Mike Cohn.
Mike is such a good and patient teacher. His years of experience really come through as provides demonstrations, answers questions, and talks with students. He has a great way of being able to bring this experience into the conversation without ever coming off as pretentious. This course provides and incredible amount of fantastic information and guidance for being a product owner in a scrum framework. It lays the groundwork for providing a team vision, setting priorities, organizing a backlog, planning for projects, providing product estimates, and more. Anyone interested in doing this kind of work (even outside of a scrum framework, honestly, though it is firmly rooted in that space) would likely benefit from this course.
Attending the CSPO class led by Scott Dunn was an absolute delight! His deep knowledge of Scrum and product ownership was evident throughout the session. Not only was he incredibly informative, but he also infused the class with a sense of fun and entertainment that kept us engaged from start to finish. Learning became an enjoyable experience, thanks to the lively teaching style and ability to make complex concepts easy to understand. Highly recommend!
Scott Dunn's Certified Scrum Product Owner course was fantastic! Engaging, informative, and well-structured, it made learning Scrum methodology a delight. Dunn's expertise and teaching style were top-notch. Highly recommended for anyone looking to become a Certified Scrum Product Owner!
The instructor for this course was very knowledgeable and helpful. He facilitated great discussions with the group and used real world examples to help us understand the material.
Great way to learn with hands-on exercises.
I put doing this certification because I was 'too busy', but wish I had taken this sooner as it delivered clarity and practical solutions to understanding Scrum roles and processes.
Very informative.
Very useful and educating course on product management.
90% of the information is not even taught in the live course, its done in videos prior. For $1000 youd expect live instruction. Even so the information isnt even good, its just a bunch of acronyms for simple processes that they have the incessant need to add complexity to so they seem relevant or that the concepts arent incredibly simple. The course is just people doing exercises based on the 10 minutes of explanation they give you with little to no supervision so you dont know if youre doing it correctly and you get very little out of it. Dont bother with it, it feels like a complete grift, save yourself or your company $1k by not going and google what is scrum and youll get basically the same amount of teaching.
