Bob Willis has held most roles in the IT industry over the past 30 years, from development, testing and training, to solution architect and database administration. In the last 10 years he has shifted his focus to IT Project Management, specialising in Agile delivery. His first exposure to Agile was while managing a Telematics project for General Motors in Detroit, MI. The delivery was being hampered by low quality, high defects, missed deadlines and low customer satisfaction. It was decided to try and use Agile techniques for delivery –delivery was very much improved.

Since then he has been a DSDM Practitioner, managed IBM’s BPM Playback methodology for rapid development of business processes and developed Project Management and Agile training.

Bob has lead the introduction of Scrum into Babcock Marine, training their IT organisation in a 2 day Scrum Practitioner course following the Scrum Alliance learning objectives for the CSM Certification.

He has more recently been a Scrum Master and Coach at Liberty Global in the Netherlands delivering cutting edge, pan European Digital projects.

Bob is currently an Agile Transformation coach at a department of the UK Government helping them to transform their Agile Portfolio Delivery, creating an Agile PMO and coaching delivery teams to better deliver value.

Ran multiple Telematics projects at OnStar (subsidiary of General Motors). This was my first experience of an Agile methodology and completely changed my perspective on software delivery.
