Mya Zwicky started her Scrum Journey in 2010 after working as a technical team lead on an off-shore project that followed (unknowingly) a Scrum-like process. She went on formal training in 2010 (CSM) after which she worked as Scrum Master on an ad hoc basis as and when client projects required it. From 2012 to 2013, she was Scrum Master (amongst other responsibilities) for a Product team at BSG. During her time at BSG, Mya also contributed to developing training material and aligning entrenched PRINCE2 practices to Agile for Agile projects. In 2014, Mya chose to move to Allan Gray in order to dedicate all her time to working in the Agile space and has been working as a full time Agile Coach/Scrum Master for 2-3 teams at a time since then.
She is a natural planner, organiser, summariser, cataloguer and documenter. I am open, honest, reliable, responsible and analytical. She is passionate about Scrum and Agile philosophies. She enjoys collaborating as part of a team but can also work independently. She has demonstrated strengths in understanding, summarising and communicating information. She also enjoys helping to grow the careers of direct reports and team members.
Besides all of that, she also enjoys reading; spending time with her husband and three furkids; and maximum time on the beach or under the ocean.

I have delivery and delivery management experience mainly in the software development realm (a role I grew into from my background as a developer) with teams of varying sizes and at various clients using both Scrum and a more traditional PRINCE2 approach. I have also managed the delivery of non-development teams, which included coaching and deliverable reviews. I have been involved in all phases of the SDLC (analysis, development, implementation, training, change management and support) over the course of my career.
I am passionate about Scrum and Agile philosophies and am a member of various related forums on social networks like LinkedIn.
Besides the roles detailed below, I was a line manager and mentor from 2006. I was also a member of the Cape Town software leadership team, operations team, and the BSG Project Management Community. I was also involved in the operationalisation and management of the BSG service desk in 2011 to ensure quality support for their live applications. This role included relationship management with some of BSG’s Johannesburg based SLA clients.
