Hello, I am Mukesh Rao. I have 17 years of experience working with IT Projects and leadership of development teams. I started my career as a programmer and was introduced to XP in 2002 and since have been agile. Currently as a Scrum Master and have been working with various companies from traditional to Agile approach. During this journey I have worked with various companies spanning Governments, Public Sectors, Insurance, Retail, Financial Services, Healthcare in various roles and capacities.
I have helped teams to transition to agile and embracing the change showcasing the benefits of lean development to management. A proven ability to assess and address organisational maturity with Agile and identify the steps necessary to achieve enterprise-level change and seek continuously improvement. I believe in constant learning, looking for opportunities for improvement, try and amend processes and adapt to changes. Agile is a blend that provides us with these and adapt earlier than later. I believe that Agile is just not about project/delivery management it goes much beyond in an organisation. The world is competitive, innovation is happening around the world, so the mantra now becomes doing more with less and doing it better or just as good, increase efficiency and keep costs less. Also, keep it simple just as much as needed, as Leonardo Da Vinci said ‘Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication’. If we look at the design challenges faced at Apple, Tata Nano and others, keeping it simple has changed the world.
I attend local agile events and various meetups to exchange views and share experiences with other attendees, which I find very motivating and helpful to introduce new ideas and techniques to teams.
