Biography

Monique Mitchener

I have over twenty-eight years of systems engineering experience in federal government projects and life cycle support.  This includes extensive experience with all aspects of systems/software engineering that include the areas of requirements, system design, development methodology, and technical writing. Emphasized skills are in the areas of requirements definition, collection, analysis, and maintenance through system/software testing, maintenance and user training.  I have five years experience as an Information Systems Security Analyst providing an array of support to include hardware and software product evaluations, computer forensics (log analysis), intrustion detection and protection systems, and Information Assurance policy and doctrine.  In addition, I have five years experience in Windows and Unix Systems Administration, as well as experience in managing Agile software development teams.

As a Systems Engineer and Technical Assistant, I provide Systems Engineering support to a government agency's Information Assurance Division, Digital Policy Management (DPM) Program Office's software development efforts. I prepare statement of works for research grant activities; Provide oversight of project/product User Story and Acceptance test development; Plan and coordinate Technical Exchange Meetings with Government, Academia, and Industry, and Chaired biweekly Use Case Meetings. I am the Design and Content Administrator for the program’s SharePoint site, as well as the Coordinator for the DPM Capability Design Team for Information Authorization and Authentication integration activities.
