Mohamed is an agile coach and trainer in SECC who combines 10 years of experience in process improvement and agile software development. Mohamed has worked in IBM Egypt as a process improvement specialist who managed a lot of process improvement initiatives and helped deploy many frameworks and methods such as Six Sigma (DMAIC projects), CMMI (Level 5) and Rational Unified Process. As a consultant in SECC (Software Engineering Competence Center) Mohamed has trained and coached many organizations including (Vodafone – Orange – Mantrac – Valeo – ITWorx) in agile adoption with focus on Scrum.
Mohamed has instructed 30+ rounds of a class entitled (Introduction to Agile Software Development) which is a very well established class in Egypt. Mohamed has trained more than 600 practitioners, and worked with more than 25 different teams from different organizations as an agile coach and led different adoption projects (mainly Scrum and XP) in many companies during the last 4 years. Before this, Mohamed coached different teams for 2 years in adopting the Rational Unified Process.
Mohamed has also led many implementations of Scrum and XP alongside other improvement models and frameworks such as CMMI and Six Sigma.
Mohamed is the co-author of the "Process Increments" method for managing software process improvement projects in an agile way. This method was presented twice in the Agile Conference 2011 and in Las Vegas Scrum Gathering 2013. Mohamed is also the co-founder of the Egypt Lean and Agile Network which is the largest network of Agile professionals in Egypt.
Mohamed is the co-founder of the SECC-AFC (Agile Foundation Certificate) program which certified more than 200 applicants.
