Michael Brausam:

Working since 2010 at Deutsche Telekom AG:
Starting and Supporting the agile Transition within Deutsche Telekom as agile Trainer and Coach. Having trained dozens of people and teams in agile working (Scrum and Kanban).

Since 2013 I have been working as Scrum Master in real product world für Qivicon/SmartHome and tolino (eReader).

I had the first contact with agile methods in April 2010, when I read scrum books and took part in a CSPO Training. Since then I took part in CSD (2011) as well as CSM Trainings (2012). Because of being member of the “Agile Capability Management” department in Deutsche Telekom AG with about 25 people – since 2010 having the mission to agilize Deutsche Telekom AG - I had (and still have) the possibility to work with a lot of experts of the Agile Scene. Working in Coaching Pair with experts from ScrumCenter, it-agile, boris gloger, wibas, improuv and objectbay I was able to get really good support in learning and bringing knowledge from outside the company inside my brain and to Deutsche Telekom AG. Our internal Agile Transition Team is organized itself as a Scrum Team. As internal "Agile Trainer" since 2010 I held 15+ (half and 1 day) trainings for the employees of Deutsche Telekom AG (Scrum Basics, Kanban) and I am Co-Trainer at Scrum Certified Trainings CSM/CSPO. In 2011 I especially supported Agile Engineering Practices and worked in pair with external Deutsche Telekom coaches (e.g. Johannes Link) to bring Agile Engineering Practices into the mindset of our SW-developers. In 2011 and 2012 I concepted the format of our Scrum-Basic-Training as well as the 1-day-Kanban-Training together with colleagues and I held the first two new Trainings. Our Kanban Training is deeply made with the 4C-format. Since 2013 all of our team members are officially "Registered Education Provider" as well as our 1-day-Scrum-Basic-Training has an official "REP"-title. The feedbacks of the trainings participants (more than 1.500) is 4 from 5 possible points. That is extremely good and in comparison to other Trainings of Deutsche Telekom demonstrating a new dimension of "how to fulfill customers needs and expectations". As internal "Agile Coach" since 2010 I helped 15+ teams in starting working agile. This support was - and still is - always for several weeks (sometimes months), in which 2 Coaches work together with the entire starting team. Our daily work is close to all the typical Scrum roles (SM, PO, Team) and the Management. Finding out the needs of teams, helping them to identify and solve problems as well as helping them to become better are important goals for us. Because of having a lot of employees wirking agile, we have implemented several (weekly/2-weekly) Communities of practice in which we take part for knowledge exchange within Deutsche Telekom. Since end of 2013 I try to implement a product idea within Deutsche Telekom. I am using the lean startup method, having hypotheses and finding out, what customers of my target groups tell me about the problem and the possible solution. I am a passionated product owner, having no money but a good concept and a lot of customers (=agile and non-agile teams) who give feedback. since I have convinced managers I can start creating an iOS protoype with an internal SW-developer. That's great!
