Biography

John Stuart Huddleston

Birmingham, Alabama

John started his career as a programmer at American Mining Insurance Company before he even graduated from college. After graduation from Birmingham-Southern College with a MS degree in Computer Information Systems, he spent eight years with American Mining and quickly worked his way up to IT manager. Looking for a new professional adventure, John left American Mining for a special assignment project in Chicago. At the conclusion of the project, he returned to Birmingham and took a Senior Consultant position with Forte Incorporated.

Then, after more than 10 years away, John was called to return to American Mining Insurance Company; this time as a Senior Vice President. Now as a SVP, John is leading his department through a complete Agile transformation that is spreading into other divisions of the company.

John's personal strengths include servant leadership, meeting management, process refinement, communication, and problem solving. He believes communication and transparency are the keys to the Agile revolution.

Outside of work, John is passionate about raising and training his seven Boykin Spaniels. He is an avid bird hunter who also competes in field trials with his pups.
