Evangelos (Vange) Mourmourakis
Starting in 1987, I spent10 years working for BHP Information Technology as an application programmer on large scale IBM mainframe systems, and later PC based systems.
In 1997, I left to join a bleeding edge medical startup, where we pioneered many Australian and world firsts in Tele-Radiology, and later PACS systems. We were responsible for several ground breaking achievements, including the first completely filmless Radiology Department in an Australian hospital. We led the uptake of DICOM diagnostic imaging and communication protocols, and were even mentioned in the British House of Lords for our successful hospital PACS implementations during an enquiry into an expensive botched British attempt. We successfully competed on a regular basis against some of the biggest corporations in the world such as GE, Siemens, Fuji, Agfa, Philips and Kodak.
In 2008, I left to form my own software company, specialising in building bespoke enterprise level systems, and custom system integration and workflow solutions.
