Daniel Zappold studied computer science at the University of Applied Science of Furtwangen, Germany and holds a degree in Computer Sciences. He started to work in the IT-Business as a Software Developer in 2003. During his time at University he was interested in agile approaches like extreme programming and Scrum but wasn't able to apply this in the first working years. While discovering problems in a long time project like silos and frustrations he engaged in agile methodologyíes again. Therefore he got the order to introduce Scrum and work as a Scrum Master.
The experience he gained there were an eye opener so he decided to walk further at the agile path and discover an interesting world of work.
Since 2006 he has been working in and with Scrum teams in several roles: as a team member, Scrum Master and Agile Coach. During his daily work he help teams to improve on agile, team and technical aspects. This starts from introducing Scrum, Continuous Delivery or improve Code Quality. He gives also Agile Software Engineering Trainings as an registered education provider to become Certified Scrum Developer.
He is one of the leader of the Munich community called AgileTuesday and helps organizing conferences like the Agile World.
