Doniel Wilson is a seasoned IT professional adept at defining and executing IT strategies. His role as a strategic advisor to leadership at organizations large and small has enabled him to drive cost effective solution using LEAN and Agile techniques.  His focus on the customer has led to continued success in delivering software as both a project manager and a product owner in scrum teams. He has worked to transition his team and supported the transition of other teams from the Waterfall SDLC to a Kanban form of  Scrum. He is a Certified Project Management Professional, a Certified Scrum Product Owner and a Certified Scrum Master and is highly effective in providing expert matrix management of enterprise level projects and cross-functional teams through the full life cycle. While specializing in the design and development of  web applications his experience with managing software development and engineering teams and implementing systems with first hand development and integration experience his technical expertise provides him the requisite background to define architecture and recommend strategic direction. With over 15 years of experience his work has afforded him the insight into the sources and triggers for positive process efficiency impacts. This background enables him to drive process improvements with IT systems. Specifically, he has managed the design, development and implementation of numerous CRM Implementations and web portals for clients like AARP, Marriott/HOST Marriott and Sprint/Nextel Communications, as well as projects that encompass the infrastructure design/redesign, build-out and/or modernization of data centers for large companies such as Freddie Mac, Lucent Technologies, and Cable and Wireless USA. Doniel’s technical background as well as his knowledge of Business Process management, Service Oriented Architecture, Business Intelligence, OSS/BSS integration, enterprise systems, and application management serve as a foundation for his leadership and the efficient delivery of the systems and process design.

These activities include the definition and execution of product road maps. Lead the team in transition from waterfall SDLC to Scrum driving a more consistent delivery cadence and more valuable output in the implementation of several initiatives to reduce cost and increase operating efficiencies throughout the AARP’s volunteer programs. Lead the design development and delivery for enhancements to the volunteer portal and supporting volunteer information management systems used by these volunteer groups. Led the development of java based applications support over 65000 volunteers by collecting and distributing information about volunteer activities, locations, orders and courses being conducted by volunteers. As a product owner the key responsibilities included defining requirements/stories and working with the customer, scrum master, infrastructure and development teams to solidify schedules and reduce development and delivery timelines
