Don Hopkins - Senior development manager with over 30 years of development experience and 10 years of management experience. Experienced in managing teams and relationships both in the U.S. and abroad. The majority of my career has been developing UNIX kernel software. I have experience in the roles of ScrumMaster and Product Owner. I am also a certified SPC4 and have been teaching SAFe classes at HPE. I have worked extensivly with program management teams in implementing agile methodologies. I began using agile methodologies in the development team I was managing. This included taking on the role of scrummaster and agile coach for the team. In 2009 I became a certified scrummaster and used this knowledge to enhance the knowledge of the team introducing them to scrum values. Since then I have continued to work with development teams in the scrummaster role or in a coaching role helping teams with agile processes and ceremonies. In 2010 I got certified as a product owner to help fill a gap in the organization. In this role I was responsible for bridging the gap that existed between product management and the development teams. I also worked with teams to prioritize the product backlog and deliverables.
