Chris Meredith

An eighteen year veteran of the software Industry with a background in business development and a short tour in the US Foreign Service. Having served both large multinationals and small start-ups, I bring a range of experiences to bear to any role. All of my roles have involved project management, technical writing and managing successful small groups. My philosophy is that happy team members create better software that wins new business. Creating a happy small group requires a mixture of trust, respect, creative conflict, and accountability.

Shortly after arriving in New England, I was hired to fill a business development role for a small  micro-computer application start-up with three employees in the US, ten developers overseas and no revenues.

When the need for an in-house technical writer emerged, I filled that role. That company ended up selling product through every major consumer technology brick-and-mortar retailer. As sales of our shrink-wrapped website development tool began to ramp up, I stood up a technical support team and trained each representative how to convert specific incoming calls into customers of our new web hosting division. When we launched our first shrink-wrapped E-commerce product, I wrote the functional spec for the online wizard that enabled our small business owners/users to accept their first credit card orders over the Internet.

My first SAAS opportunity came about in 2003 and that has been my focus ever since.
